The R Word

In 1932, George Preston Marshall purchased the Boston Braves football team. As his second head coach, Marshall hired William “Lone Star” Dietz,  who's mother was most likely a Sioux.  To "honor" Dietz, Marshall changed the team's name to the Redskins. (Marshall also convinced Dietz to put on war paint and feathers before home games).  Marshall moved the team to Washington, DC, thereby being the southern most NFL franchise.

Open Carry

Former libertarian talk radio host Adam Kokesh is planning an Open Carry March on Washington on July 4th 2013.

On the morning of July 4, 2013, Independence Day, we will muster at the National Cemetery & at noon we will step off to march across the Memorial Bridge, down Independence Avenue, around the Capitol, the Supreme Court, & the White House, then peacefully return to Virginia across the Memorial Bridge. This is an act of civil disobedience, not a permitted event.

Again with Repeal and Replace?

Let’s imagine for a moment, that just as the pundits on both sides of the aisle imply, the President can make, introduce and pass any law he desires, without any input or approval from congress and without the will of the people.  Since we’re already pretending, let’s also pretend that the American People did not want any change to the healthcare system, everyone was against it, and yet President Obama, on his own, enacted Obama Care with the express intent on bankrupting America.

Why is Clarence Thomas?

Why is Clarence Thomas silent?
On a day when Justice Antonin Scalia suggested that the continuation of Section 5 of the Voting Rights Act represents the "perpetuation of racial entitlement," and Chief Justice John Roberts asked Solicitor General Donald Verrilli, whether it was the position of the U.S. government that residents of Southern states are more racist than those of Northern states, and Justice Anthony Kennedy described Congress as having "reverse engineered" the formula originally used in the Voting Rights Act to ensure that certain states would be covered by Section 5, and Justice Elena Kagan said that "Under any formula that Congress could devise, it would still capture Alabama," and every other Associate Justice asked some question of the legal teams there assembled, Mr. Justice Thomas, said nothing at all.
